Donor By Design is a team of professionals from the non-profit world who have joined together to help great causes live their mission. We are committed to helping these non-profits grow stronger in their development abilities so that they not only achieve their campaign goal, but go on to greater achievements using the tools they’ve learned from us. It is an incredible chance to come alongside organizations at the most exciting – and vulnerable – points in their histories.
We’ve grown over the past 10 years by connecting cause-driven professionals with our unique brand of consulting to help the organizations we serve. Consulting requires a self-direction, creativity and a tolerance for risk. It also takes a blend of humility and confidence: trust in your ability to lead combined with the ability to help our clients grow in their own ability to lead. It is challenging work, but also incredibly rewarding.
If you’ve ever worked with us, you’ve likely heard our axiom “Don’t settle.” We take that idea as seriously as we expect our clients to take it. The right people are the foundation for ensuring we can help our clients succeed.
That means we aren’t just filling job openings. We’re willing to be patient to find the best fit.
Full-Time vs Part-Time Project Work
Being a full-time consultant isn’t the only way to be part of the DBD team. There are opportunities to work part-time, adding a project or two on to your current workload. Why would you add more work to your busy schedule?
- To gain valuable experience in a campaign type, region, or nonprofit that you’re unfamiliar with.
- To gain consulting and volunteer leadership skills that will help you work with your own staff and board.
- To learn from the rest of the DBD team, absorbing the skills and strategies we use to help our clients be successful.
Team members with these experiences are more valuable to their employers in the long run. We can work with your management team to find an arrangement that makes sense for everyone. And we’ll keep the lines of communication open to make sure your needs and our clients’ needs are all met.
The first step is a conversation. Let us know your vision and let us share ours. Contact us.
We are very fortunate to do great work for great causes. Let us know if you’d like to join us in this journey.
